	Application Form

As approved by the General Council, the Direct Membership Referral Scheme (DMR) will be open from 18th January 2011 to 31st December 2011.

Details of the Direct Membership Referral Scheme are as follows:

Validity

The DMR is commencing on 18th January 2011 until 31st December 2011, both dates inclusive.

Eligibility

Corporate Members of the following professional institutions equivalent to that of MHKICM with relevant working experience as required by HKICM.

-	Chartered Institute of Building

-	Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying Division)

-	Hong Kong Institute of Architects

-	Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Structural, Civil, Building, Building Services, and Geotechnical Divisions)

-	Institution of Structural Engineers

Application Procedures

The Candidate is required to submit the following:

-	A completed and duly signed Direct Membership Referral Scheme (DMR) Membership Application Form endorsed by TWO members of the General Council of HKICM.

-	All supporting documents, including diploma(s)/ certificate(s) covering academic and professional qualifications, training and experience report, must be submitted together with the application. All the aforesaid documents must be certified by ONE member of the General Council of HKICM.

-	A CV detailing the training and working experience.

-	A non-refundable Application Fee of HK$400 by cheque payable to the “Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers, Ltd.” must be enclosed together with the application form.

Fees

The Membership Application Fee for the DMR is HK$400 (non-refundable) payable to HKICM upon submission of application.
The Membership Subscription Fee for the DMR is HK$800 payable to HKICM by cheque, attached to the Application Form, to be debited upon admission.
Payments - Two separate cheques, one non-refundable or HK$400 for application and the other of HK$700 for membership subscription, must be attached to the Application Form, crossed and payable to the 'HONG KONG INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS, LIMITED.' Please make sure the cheques are good for payment, a returned cheque will invalidate the direct admission application without further notice.

Remarks

-	Membership Disciplines – Membership of HKICM are straightly classified into four disciplines namely the Building Discipline, the Civil Engineering Discipline, the General Discipline, and the Building Services applicants under the DAS are subject to the same straight classifications in accordance with the parameters established by HKICM.

-	Candidates are required to attend a Professional Interview.

-	The acceptance and rejection of membership application is subject to the discretion of the Board of Examination and the approval of the General Council.

-	Other HKICM membership admission routes are also encouraged.
