Building Services Discipline and Recognised Education Programmes
Members seeking admission to the Building Services Discipline should have attained appropriate qualifications as described below (refer also to Sections 2 and 3 of this Handbook): |

| 6.3.1 |
For Corporate Members (MHKICM/ FHKICM), one of the following engineering degrees or education programmes as assessed by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation as being of equal status, or any qualification that is approved by our BOE and Council. |

| (a) |
BEng / BSc degree in Building Services Engineering accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation as being of equal status; |
| |
|
| (b) |
BEng / BSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation as being of equal status; |
| |
|
| (c) |
BEng / BSc degree in Plant and Facility Management accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation as being of equal status; |
| |
|
| (d) |
Pass of EC (UK) Part 2 Examination in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Plant and Facility Management in related disciplines. |

| 6.3.2 |
For Associates (AHKICM), a higher diploma or a higher certificate in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Plant and Facility Management conferred by a recognized university or education institutions, or any qualification that is approved by our BOE and Council. |

| 6.3.3 |
For Associates (AHKICM) who have attained one of engineering education programmes in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Plant and Facility Management or other related engineering as assessed by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation as being of equal status, or any qualification that is approved by our BOE and Council are eligible to apply for admission to the Building Services Discipline. |
